Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA, January 15, 2016

The Technology and Entrepreneurship Centre at Harvard with support from Barcelona Housing Systems is convening senior public and private sector executives for the 2016 Strategic Innovation Summit on Affordable Communities Everywhere (ACE2016).

400 million units is what is estimated to be the immediate need for affordable housing around the globe. And while many more citizens each year are qualifying and demanding from their leadership better housing options, the solutions must extend beyond publicizing the latest clever invention or erecting a pile of cheap houses, further straining an already fragile environment and infrastructure.

The solutions must start with a comprehensive urban plan and then deliver not just an affordable home, but a vibrant and sustainable new community that provides a healthy and safe environment for people to flourish.

To help leaders define, evaluate and brings these kinds of integrated housing solutions to their cities and countries, the Technology and Entrepreneurship Centre at Harvard with support from Barcelona Housing Systems is convening senior public and private sector executives for the 2016 Strategic Innovation Summit on Affordable Communities Everywhere (ACE2016).

This Summit, held at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA, will provide an unprecedented opportunity to learn from and network with the world´s leading disruptive thinkers and innovators within the sector, Harvard faculty and researchers and select executives from the affordable housing and finance community.

The Summit will examine housing solutions from the perspective of what keynote speaker Dr. John D. Wilson calls “The doctrine of the Three D´s – Dignity, Durability and Delight.” The other presenters will build upon this framework, identifying relevant parameters that define each “D” in relation to affordable and sustainable communities – all in a dynamic environment where the participants dive deep into questions concerning the efficient development, management, and evaluation of existing and proposed projects being launched around the globe.

This Summit is an invitation-only program for senior-most executives in the public sector, industry and higher education. Other applicants will be reviewed and accepted on a case-by-case basis. As attendance is limited, we encourage you to apply soon. This event is complimentary and there is no tuition fee to attend. However, travel and hotel expenses are the responsibility of individual participants.
